Welcome to Katy's educational community

I believe a classroom should be a safe, organized, engaging, informative, sharing, motivating and respectful space. A classroom should also be dynamic and active. My walls are also tools. We have monthly "Kid President" and "Growth Mindset themes", unit Essential Questions, reminders about how to treat each other, my Monday shirt "You make today better" and my goals and current books I am reading. 

Here are also photos from past class projects, experiments, class trips. Exposing students to experiences outside the physical walls of a building are so important for connecting to community and for opening the mind. Enjoy!
